Hi all

I have a flight MEL-SYD knight that I have already upgraded to J (thought I would treat myself for the last couple of flights for the year).

I went to check in today and saw the 763 had been replaced by an A330-200. I then got very excited when I saw six rows of J as opposed to five - shortly after that my excitement at thinking I was getting sky beds (overkill for a 60 min flight but it wouldn't hurt) diminished as all A332s have six rows of J.

The odd thing was that I had to scroll "move back" three times to see all available J seats. Is there any way to tell from the seat map if it is in fact a INT rather than DOM bird?

Cheers

S

It's a short flight, so little enough use can be made of skybed specific facets.

Get a row 1 seat and relax.

Today I presume?

There's a thread on this somewhere actually.

I agree it would just be a nice end to my MEL travels for the year.

I will do a search for the thread.

Don't know if it shows on the maps but int has a galley between rows 3 and 4 from memory.

I have checked with some contacts and the only domestic 332 flight from MEL to SYD today is currently scheduled to be an international configuration - this can change.

Found a useful thread, see this post: (http://www.australianfrequentflyer....rogram/skybeds-on-a330s-31235.html#post457931)
The International A332's seem to have no row 23 DEFG, and have two 3 row sections of the J Cabin.

The domestic A332's have two different set ups, but essentially all the rows of J are in one section.

EBG, H, I , L have sky beds, whilst EBM, N, O and P do not.

The Qantas Website has the seat maps for all 3 versions of the A332 (Onboard Seat Maps for the Airbus 330-200 ).

I would not book an A332 service hoping for skybeds, you have a bit of a chance between PER-SYD and vv (QF566/577). but they seem to be scattered more then it being the norm

If Row 24 is missing in the middle as well you have a domestic bird. If it is only 23 then you have an international bird.
From memory, EBJ had row 23 in the middle, but none of the others did. I believe both sets of domestic configs dont have the middle in 23 and 24.

Look like the inbound QF772 from Perth was cancelled.

Now one of the ex AO 763 ...
