I have to fly PER <-> SYD fairly often for work and I'm able to book flights on the 787 which departs and arrives from the international terminals at both airports respectively. I don't have any QF status (yet) but I have an amex platinum charge + priority pass which give me various lounge accesses, and I would love to use both the aspire premium lounge in Perth + the centurion lounge in Sydney, however I'm not sure how much they will scrutinise my domestic boarding passes. The reason I am posting in this forum is because I figured maybe there are other people who have tried this.
My main query is just whether it is even possible to get into either a priority pass lounge in SYD or the centurion lounge via amex with a domestic ticket? Do they check the tickets that much, or is being in the intl terminal enough to get in? I would rather not gamble on this and then have to go through intl security just to find out I have 0 chance of getting into either lounge.
I really would love to visit the amex lounge in SYD seeing as there isn't one in PER so I am thinking I might book SYD -> PER via the intl terminal either way to try my luck, but any experience around this type of trick that other AFFers have had would be much appreciated!
