I’ve booked a flight from Perth - Sydney to get home tomorrow 10am but my check in luggage is 158-160cm. The website says max is 140cm.

I was in a rush to book and originally thought it was 200cm max. The contact number is closed now. Can I still take my luggage and pay extra or something?

I've travelled the world with my large Antler suitcase (166cm). Yes this is more than some airlines publish as their limit, but I've never even been questioned over it, let alone charged for oversize or had carriage denied.

You'll be fine.

@turnipapple let us know how you go

In my limited experience, The only airline who takes out the measuring tape is JAL. They pinged me for 4 oversized ski bags

Thanks, it was all good. I threw it in the self service check in and no one even noticed
