Given it's EOFY time, thought it would be timely to ask this question.

From our collective knowledge, which of the credit cards charge charities the least to receipt donations? I have asked some charities in the past and they have generally said they prefer MC/Visa over Amex, but accept all cards to encourage giving.

Approaching this from the perspective of wanting as much money too ends up in the hands of the cause I'm supporting as possible.

We go Visa and MasterCard as their fee is generally not too high. It is possible that some places don't pay a fee to the bank but that would be difficult to find out.

Visa and MC are cheaper.

Some charities give the option telling you how much extra it would be to cover the cc fee eg. You tell them you want to donate $100 but it pops up and when you go to enter cc they tell you "$102.34" donation will also cover cc fees.
