Take off for a city break, beach escape or to reconnect with loved ones and you'll automatically be rewarded with double Status Credits on every eligible Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number.*
To take advantage of this offer:
  1. Make a new booking between 18 and 20 May 2021 for travel between 22 May 2021 and 30 September 2021 on any eligible Qantas operated flights with a QF flight number*
  2. Ensure your Qantas Frequent Flyer number is included in your booking
  3. You will automatically receive your bonus Status Credits up to six weeks after travel
With no limit to the number of eligible flights you can book, watch your Status Credits soar.

Offer ends 11:59pm (AEST) 20 May 2021.

T&C suggest it is for both Points Club and Points Club Plus members:

This offer is valid for Points Club and Points Club Plus members who make a new Eligible Flight booking between 12.01am (AEST) 18 May 2021 and 11.59pm (AEST) 20 May 2021 and travel between 22 May 2021 and 30 September 2021. An Eligible Flight for the purpose of this promotion means any Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number on your ticket where Status Credits are normally earned. For full details, see terms and conditions. Status Credits and bonus Status Credits will not be earned on some fare types and booking classes. See Airline Earning Table for details. Any flight with a QF flight number on the ticket which is not operated by Qantas including Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan, Jetstar Pacific and other partner airlines are not eligible for this offer. This bonus Status Credits offer applies to travel taken by Points Club or Points Club Plus members only, other passengers in the same booking will not be eligible for this offer. This offer is not transferable. If you qualify and register for multiple bonus Status Credits offers for the same flight, the highest value bonus Status Credits offer will be applied to each individual qualifying segment. For example, if you qualify and register for a 50% more Status Credits offer and a double Status Credits offer on the same flight, you will receive the double Status Credits offer as it will result in the highest total number of bonus Status Credits. Only one Status Credits offer can be used per individual qualifying segment of your itinerary. Bonus Status Credits may be earned on multiple eligible flight bookings made during the promotion period. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Status Credits offer by Qantas. Bonus Status Credits may take up to six weeks after completion of travel to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account. Flights are subject to availability and any applicable fare conditions. Flights can be booked via the Qantas website, a travel agent, or Qantas Contact Centres. Fees and charges may apply. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number must be recorded at the time of booking to earn Status Credits. Flight gift vouchers purchased during the promotion but not redeemed for an eligible flight booking during the promotion period will not earn double Status Credits. Bonus Status Credits earned from this offer do not count towards Loyalty Bonus, Platinum Bonus Reward, Platinum One Bonus Reward and Status Accelerator/ Challenge earn requirements. Full or part travel of an itinerary is eligible only if you book (regardless of payment date) and travel within the promotional dates as listed above. If you cancel your initial qualifying booking or change it to be outside the promotional period, this bonus offer will not apply.

I charged the heading slightly to points club/plus. I assume if it’s in the T&Cs it should be for both levels.

I couldn't see it mentioned in the T&Cs, are the DSC valid on classic reward bookings?

Points Club & Points Club Plus members would normally earn SC on QF operated classic awards.

Aaarghh! Just booked a few trips over the w/e past....

Funny, I saw the other thread (about PC+) then an article on ET just now about the enhancements (real ones) for both PC/PC+ but couldn’t see anywhere on the QF website anything about DSC offers - while I was searching the email landed...

Based on the T&Cs, there is no registration right? It's purely based off your Points Club status and then SCs will automatically credit.
Just want to make sure I don't miss a registration link.

Agghhh booked some Classic Reward flights outside of the dates. Can I cancel... get the points back and rebook earning the double status credits?

Yep

Unfortunately, both mine were a mix of points one way and pay the other.

Could have, should have, almost did book as seperate tix.... A lesson there.

Do you know if the points come back immediately? I have 200-300k in bookings and will need to reuse them to book. Don't want to miss out the flights if the points take a few days to come back.

It can vary so it may not be worth the risk. How many pax are on the bookings?

If more than one pax I believe you can split any Points Club members onto a new PNR to achieve the same thing.

Definitely not worth the risk. I've got 2 of us J and 2 kids in Y. I'm going to leave this time. I'm confident there will more Double SC offers to take up.... but I guess timing is everything!!

The other potential problem with cancelling rewards and rebooking (specially in the relatively short promo timeframe up to 30 Sep) is that the inventory may NOT return to reward availability (eg: U and X) depending on where the flight(s) in question are at so you could cancel say the 2J and maybe only one comes back to U inventory or none and then you're stuck.

I do tend to agree that there are very likely to be more promotions for bonus SC's.

I just rebooked a couple of classic rewards, same flights, just started a new booking to make sure the seats were still available, then cancelled the previous and finished booking the new, all ticketed, probably did not need to redo, the credits won't do much for me this year, but only took a few minutes and the process was novel :)

That's definitely a way to do it - assuming the inventory exists to be able to do so.. which is not going to be the case on every flight.

I would've liked to have qualified for this offer, but sadly getting Points Club doesn't look likely to happen for me anytime soon. I hope they continue to make some DSC offers open to everyone not just do it for Points Club members.
