Double Status - Double Points from late 2023

Hi Guys

I am potentially maybe going to have a difference of opinion with Qantas in relation to their offer from late last year DOUBLE STATUS OR DOUBLE POINTS to use up Covid Credits. by 31st December

This is not the recent one for activating through the App.

I cleaned out my emails at Christmas and cannot locate the email.

Would anyone still have it that they can post a link so I can print & read.

Here’s a screenshot of an email I received on 1 September last year. As others have said, the offer was double points only, not status credits.

Thanks, I reckon that's the one, are you able to post or send me the full T & C's please.
The previous offer in July said any offers attached to a Travel Pass did not invalidate the 2nd offer or vice versa and that is what my issue with Qantas is likely to be.

I am sure I carefully read the T & C's and based on the T & C's as I understood it there should also still have been the original Status Credits.
That was certainly the case with the July offer as above posted by

I don't give a rats about the double points as I have a substantial balance but what I am chasing is the Staus Credits to maintain the status etc.

So have you used the travel pass(es) and not seeing DSC or are you pre-emptively worried?

The july promo FAQ is clear that any offer attached to the TP ie DSC will still apply. I imagine this will be automatic as per usual and the DP is separate (which you don't care about).

Remember though, that the DSC from TravelPasses with that offer credit via a different process and often do not pist for a month or more after flight date (they tend to run a big batch every month or so from what I saw last year) so not receiving DSC within a day or two of flight using a DSC enabled TP is quite normal.

I doubt you will have any "issue" with QF over this.

(Note I used all my TPs before 31dec, and not under the DP promo)
 
Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

Thanks ..........I have spoken to them and there may be an issue hence I would just like to have a copy of the T & C's from the offer later in the year.
 
Because the lady I spoke to has already said I was only entitled to the double points.
She has sent my complaint to "the team "and I would just like to have the T & C's so I can go back to them if they say NO.

I see.

I do not think there will be a problem. As I indicated the TP DSC process is seemingly dufferent to the regular one so they shoukd credit quite separately to the DP promotion.

Plus, the July promo FAQs are quite clear. I feel you may have spoken to someone who gave you wrong information.

Have you flown flights booked?

Yes just recently.
The offer late last year was the one I was after.
I am 100 % positive I read it closely at the time but it is nice to have something to go back to them with if the Loyalty team maintain the same answer.
 
Well the above posted email fine print support that DSC attached to TPs will apply.

Just remember that this process takes time and to not panic about it just yet.

For example, if flights were taken post March 1, I would wait til at the very least mid April before attemltibg to chase up. The full eight weeks even to be sure.

I am pretty sure you will not have any problems. Just be patient for now imo.
 
Interesting feedback @sumthinfornuthin.

I decided not to take up the double points offer as I didn't trust QF to honour the original DSC offer that was tied to my Travel Pass. Too many variables for my comfort.

As a data point, my last DSC for a Travel Pass posted 17 days after the completion of a round trip. They posted as a single transaction for both flights. So, if you have just finished all the flights for the booking it might be a bit of a wait before the DSCs come through automatically.

As this AFF thread (04 Sep 2023) Double points for bookings with Qantas travel credit until the end of 2023

IIRC was an earlier QF email about July 2023 on the same Travel pass topic - double points

And Dec 2023 AFF Double points on select QF Christmas Livery flights - Xmas 2023

I previously had the Double Status Credits recorded in their initial offer in 21/22 so that makes me confident I am right. I really appreciate you doing this. See what they say when they come back to me. All the best

As expected after ringing again I was told " no Double Status Credits and no record of my phone call 18/24 months ago confirming the offer was still there and no record of my original entitlement "
.Fortunately I have gone back through literally hundreds of emails from QANTAS and guess whast ?? an email from QANTAS confirming registration of the DSC against the Travel Pass.

How the hell can that be ?
What does that say about their systems where every call is recorded etc.
I have now sent back a follow up email and copies of everything.
I appreciate the help above.
 
Update.
Sent long email to Qantas with attachments including the T & C's from late last year and an email from Qantas in 2020 confirming DSC attached to the Travel Passes
Qantas have been back to me asking for proof of the DSC offer at the time.
One would have thought THEIR email from 2020 would be proof enough.
I really wonder how good their record keeping attached to QFF accounts really is.
