DPS-ADL VA114, Paused Feb 3- March 19 2024 back with MAX8?

I had an email with a flight change this morning that my DPS-ADL in February had a "schedule change" and now routing DPS-MEL-ADL

Looks like the current direct DPS-ADL schedule (and corresponding ADL-DPS) has been brought forward to end on February 3 2024.

I thought maybe with the introduction of another LCC on DPS-ADL (Baltik Air) they might have been shifting their priorities like when they stopped DPS-PER many years ago.

However fast forward a month and a half of no services and looks like they are scheduling a MAX8 to resume again from 19th March...

The route has had significant capacity increases, Jetstar upgraded both frequencies to A321. Batik has also introduced services, although only first week of ops, loads are horrendous.

I'm not sure if "loads are horrendous" means packed or near empty

but having a look at the seat map on EF for today's Batik flight ID6012 I'm interpreting as packed.
