The venue is The Mill Hotel Bar & Restaurant. It is located on Wickham Terrace, on the corner of Bartley St, next to Brisbane Private Hospital, opposite the old Tower Mill and ~100 metres from Jacobs Ladder.

And as mentioned earlier Amex is accepted...

Yes another good night with Mal, wallacej and Bundy Bear. Guys you ordered way too much food and I am struggling to finish off the dinner I had prepared earlier.

It was decided the next BNE drinks gathering will be Wednesday 25 February 2009. Yes I know this is after the FT AGM and the AFF Golf Tournament but someone has to keep the Brisbane economy ticking over.

Hope to see everyone there....

I live in Spring Hill through the week so if you feel you are getting thirsty and are staying close to the city then come up to the Mill Hotel for a drink or two.

I'm in Brisbane that week (23-27) so I'll be there but unfortunately I dont drink enough these days to be a tremendous help for the local economy.

Our monthly gathering is in a way is like an off topic thread without all the typing. Discussion would follow a bit of a track then it would change direction. A lot of interesting discussion took place.

It was hardly ever On Topic although Mal and Jason called the gathering to order a couple of times. The discussion would drift Off Topic and then further off Topic. I remember at some point during the night we were not even sure if we were discussing any particular topic. :shock: There was a lot of nice distractions walking past but the blonde, with her parents in tow, that was sitting inside was the best distraction of the lot.
