Question for the AFF massive...
I've been to Darwin many times but never as a transit from domestic to international. Is it just a 5 min stroll from one small terminal to another? (like Cairns for example)
I'm of to Bali in Sep with Mrs Shambles and have added a bit of a status run arriving into DRW at (allegedly) 14.35 and toying with which JQ connection to DPS to book. There is a 16.10 and a 19.30. Obviously I'd rather get on the 16.10 but with JQ checkin timing restrictions etc (we'll have checked luggage) and no flow through benefits from my preceding QF J domestic sectors, I'm wondering if it's too tight if the SYD DRW QF service is delayed for any reason.
I was going to book it as a starter plus which technically is changeable but I think I'd be leaving myself open to a potential fare difference if I miss the earlier flight and the later one turns out to be pretty full on the day.
Any advice or prior experience appreciated.
(also, is there a QP in DRW international?)
cheers
