Choice has just reviewed 16 dual SIM smartphones. Its subscription, so I won't quote extensively (it'll be in your local library, either hardcopy or on-line, I think), but their recommended products are:

* HTC Desire 600 Dual SIM (76%)

* LG Optimus L7 II Dual (note different models have different compatibility with operating bands of different carriers) (75%)
* Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 SM-G7102 (75%)

* Huawei Ascend G700-U10 Dual Sim (73%)

* Motorola Moto G XT1068 2nd generation (71%)

* Sony Xperia M2 Dual (73%)

The features vary quite a bit between models. For instance, some have 3G capability on one of the SIMs only.

I believe the new Oneplus Two is also a dual sim. Did that make it in the list?

For instance, some have 3G capability on one of the SIMs only.

I don't have access to the article, but I hope that they pointed out that even if both SIM slots can do 3G (or even 4G), it's never at the same time; one SIM is always relegated to 2G only. This might be OK for some people in some places at the moment, but as Telcos around the world switch off their 2G networks (some already have, Telstra will in December next year, and Optus will in April the year after), the extra SIM slot is destined to become little more than somewhere to store a SIM card when you're not using it.

I'd really like to see a dual SIM 'phone that can do simultaneous 3G (or 4G) on both slots.
