Dumb SC Question

I have no idea why I can't work this out - possibly having a brain cell failure.

I am currently Silver and have earned enough SC to keep silver, my review date is July 8th. I need 51 more SC to qualify for Gold with the bulk of my SC expiring Sept 2nd.
When my review date is up those SC stay the same right? I am thinking that I have until Sept 2nd to earn the 51 SC to qualify for Gold which I will be able to do with some August flights to QLD that I am about to book.

Is this right? or wrong?
If it is wrong I'll go with QF because their schedule is far better and easier, I'm only going with VA because I have a travel credit and want to earn the SC as we are going to be traveling next year and the extra baggage will come in handy.

Going up a level is based on the rolling 12 months.
So you're tally for to retain Silver will basically start again. Your tally to upgrade to Gold will stay as the 12 month rolling total.

OK so as Long as I get the 51 SC by Sept 2nd I will be ok. I have about 150 expiring on that date.

Hopefully VA will still have the VFF / renamed another name FF program by then.
Granted it will take time if they decide to go LCC and close off the VFF system.
Who knows what will happen at the end of this month, in relation to VA/(VFF/VGW granted these last 2 are run separately), but still, if VA goes LCC, they might decide to pay us out our points balance.
VAversion2/VAmark2 would "probably" fly again, but in what sort of type of airline, who knows?
I keep getting emails from VA/VFF that my PS will stay with me for the next 12 months, ... who knows, will it still be there in 12 months?
VFF status runs on 12 months cycle, as mentioned by Ozmark, but QF is fixed on your anniversary of joining QFF.
If you are able to get some SC by July 08, 2020, all the better, there are still some flights with VA as it is.
As far as I can tell, these flights are still points and SC earning, only thing have to contend with is the slight possibility of having your flights cancelled on you.
And some states still have lockdowns, depends on which state you live in, and if the state you intend going to does not do lockdown and if the VA flight goes with you in it, then you can get the SC.
