Earliest and cheapest to buy for Dec 2013 Europe

Planning for next year end Europe trip, wondering when will be the best time to get the ticket ?
We will be flying from KUL..

Where in Europe? Will it be a simple return ticket from kul or are you planning on doing kul-Europe-oz?

Depends on fare type. Some of the RTW or similar are less 'sensitive' to seasonality than others, such as straightforward return fares. At least that's the case for ex-AU but can't speak for ex-MY.

I think Virgin had some cheap Europe sale fares the last time I looked. Flying within Europe, I think Ryan Air is the cheapest and operates out of many different airports.

Also depends on the fare. Last year all ex SYD
Dec was the best time to buy F
Around June-Oct was better for J but there were some additional specials around Oct-Nov
Not sure about Y / econ but there were a lot of pricing on best flights around the middle of the year. if you can get / got the $1600-$1700 fares (again ex SYD) in Jan i think you would have done well.

Sorry cannot help ex KUL but usually special fares for mid Dec come available middle of the year if they are available, if you haven't got them in the Jan (no one has any money left) sales.

If you are on a KUL flight with work? see if the T/A will treat this as a stopover and sell you a UK/Europe ticket.
