Thought it would be worth bringing to AFFers attention that you do earn Avios and Tier Points on Emirates metal if booked with a QF flight code.
I wondered whether this might be a glitch but is apparently clear policy.

PS: if you scroll down to the comments there is the intriguing suggestion of earning TPs/Avios on domestic redemptions if you bring the flight time forward on the day. Given that domestic short-haul is a reasonable use of Avios, might be a pleasant bonus
