I am looking at a WS operated itinerary and would like to earn VA points and SCs. Do you know if Velocity points are earned on DL flight numbers operated by WS?

I know I can credit WS flight numbers to QFF but they don't earn any SCs with QF.

Thanks!

Nope.

You only earn points/SCs on DL operated flights and only when the flight number is DL or VA.

Likewise if you booked a DL marketed by WS operated flight this wouldn't credit to QF either because it must be both WS operated and marketed.

The only program that will let you credit a DL marketed but WS operated flight is DL's program.

Thanks for the info @henrus !

I had one of these a couple of years ago, booked it as a DL flight (operated by DL), but then later got swapped to WestJet.

No status / points earnt, however, I thought I'd try it on getting in to the Lounge at LAX, to my surprise, they let me in when strictly speaking I don't think they should have.

I'm not sure lounge access is currently being offered atm though, but better to ask and be knocked back vs not asking at all.

The Delta lounge rules changed recently. Previously you got access to any DL operated lounge before any DL operated flight. Now you only get access to DL lounges before DL operated flights when connecting to/from an international service or before a DL international service.

ah yeah I thought they'd changed.

Honestly think the lounge attendant just saw the "DL" on the boarding pass and waved me through.
Presumably though, if it's operated by WS it would be an international service, so maybe still worth a shot.
