Yeah, it's now official. From the latest member update:

China Eastern Airlines joins Qantas Frequent Flyer program

With a worldwide network based in Shanghai, China Eastern Airlines operates over 80 international flights to Australia, America, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and Europe, as well as serving multiple destinations within China. From 6 May 2010, you can earn points on eligible fares and flights, plus use points for a Qantas & Partner Classic Award on China Eastern services.++

++ Points can be earned on flights operated and marketed by China Eastern (MU) or a China Eastern Airline Affiliate and flights marketed by China Eastern or a China Eastern Airline Affiliate but operated by Qantas under a codeshare agreement.
