A quick question about purchasing tickets for family members. If I purchase 2 domestic Qantas tickets (red-e-deal) for myself and my mum can I get points for both tickets? Or is it only my ticket because I am the FF member and not my mum?

I have put my FF number next to my name on the online booking but haven't put anything next to my mums name yet.

I can't find any info on the Qantas site (easily anyway).

Thanks!!

You can only earn the FF points for your flight. There are ways of getting the points off your mums flight, but that would involve transferring the points from her account to yours.
Just be wary you can only do family transfer once in a year

Note that at least 5000 points is needed before you can transfer.

You can join your Mum up to QFF for free with everydayrewards .

The minimum 5000 point transfer can be "enhanced"!

Thanks for your replies. I'll see whether it's worth signing mum up for the points.....

It costs nothing to join QFF via Everyday rewards.

Assuming the flights for your mother earn the minimum 1,000 QFF points per flight then she will have 2,000 QFF points in her account,

To get the QFF points out transfer 3,000 QFF points into he account and then transfer 5,000 QFF points back to your account.
