Hi there - does anyone know whether there are any multiday Nile cruises that run during the summer?

It's obviously not an ideal time to go with temperatures in the forties but the crowds would be less and costs may be lower too. Do you have any suggestions? Do they only run from Luxor to Aswan and vice versa or do they go all the way from Cairo or Abu Simbel? Is the food edible, or even good? I once saw a Joanna Lumley documentary where she goes on a public boat and it was so crowded and unhygienic I'd find it likely unbearable. But yes, I'm tossing up between a trip in Egypt and a Holland America cruise to the Northern Arctic (where I want to go but would waste too many days on sea days).

No cruise will go to Abu Simbel from the other points due to the cataracts (rapids) 😊. The rest I don’t know, sorry, in the hot season. Certainly do run Aswan to Cairo ( there is one lock) during the cooler months.

The boats are mainly ‘Rhein cruiser’ type craft and vary in quality but most I expect would have ‘good’ catering. My one in November was very good (see trip report noted above for pics of the craft and meals).
