This one slipped through to the keeper, but noticed on bestflights newsletter ..

NEWS FLASH: Emirates' new Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur service kicks off next month

It replaces the current 0255 departure direct to DXB, instead replacing it with a MEL-KUL-DXB service.

Timings are:
MEL-KUL 0310/0810 (arr DXB 1245)
KUL-MEL 1440/0120 (dep DXB 0240)

Don't know if MEL-KUL will sustain three services all leaving after midnight (0045 MH, 0125 D7, 0310 EK), will put the squeeze on MH. This new service will be in direct competition with Air Asia X, so worth watching for some good deals (EK at Air Asia prices?).

At the moment can't seem to book MEL-KUL on EK website, but can book KUL-MEL.

Thank you, We have booked EK to LGW, for the 0255 flight in march. I saw that there was a stop on the way to DXB. Thought it was Singapore, but it looks like KUL, no big deal.:-|
