EK440 (QF8440) DXB-ADL Which Concourse & Lounge?

Hi,

Looking at flight on QF8440 (EK440) in First and had a few questions.

It says it departs from Terminal 3.

- Does it leave from a Gate or is it a bus ride out to the plane?
- Which concourse does it leave from at Terminal 3
- Can I use the new Concourse A FLounge if it departs from another concourse?

Firstly your better off posting this in the Emirates section, this part if you read the title is for discussing the Qantas/Emirates codeshare agreement which your question is clearly not related to, despite your flight having a Qantas code.

As to your question, Terminal 3 has 3 concorses, as you probably gathered. EK flights can leave for more or less any of those concourses, though A has more A380 flights than other concourses as every gate in A is A380 capable. Other a/c can and do operated from concourse A. As for whether it is a bus or gate, depends on the day really, as it does at any airport on any flight. As for using the lounge in another concourse don't know, never tried. At the end of the day all the concourses are like zoo's, especially early morning when EK440 leaves. A isn't really that much better than B and haven't been to C to comment.

-You won't know until you are at the airport.
-Terminal 3 is concourses A & B so it could be either one of those. Concourse C is terminal 1.
- You can use the F lounge in concourse A if your status allows, otherwise I think you will only be able to use the F lounge nearest to your gate. As security is centralised after check in, it is possible to move between concourses A & B. The train between them takes 10 mins, also the screens do say how far the gate is. The lifts and train do allow you to go back to concourse B with no problems.

Thanks JB83. I think that covers it all. Looks like I can try the new lounge then in Concourse A if its only a 10 min train ride to and from Concorse B if it should be departing from there
