Hi all

To take advantage of the DSC promo I’ve booked MEL->SYD->OOL->SYD ->MEL to tick off both the status credit and eligible sector.

Unfortunately, I’ve just received a text saying my flight’s been cancelled to a MEL->OOL for the first leg.

I know people have general success requesting ORC for status credit with VA, but has anyone been able to get ORC for eligible sector as well?

I'll be finding the answer to this out in about a week. Had my flights changed by virgin resulting in direct flights instead of what I originally booked in order to get additional sectors and SCs that I need to maintain platinum.

Has anyone had any luck getting a sector for a changed flight? Need one more to hit Platinum and would have had it but Virgin changed my last flight to direct so missed out on the extra one I needed.

Only just saw this and a good outcome in the end.

This has happened to me in the past and what I have done with similar changes, not wanting to leave it to ORC gods, is to research viable options to maintain the original connection, called and had the bookings changed.
