Bit of a greenhorn question, but just to avoid doubt:

If you book a room for 2 people (i.e. specify two adults on the booking), and you are a Diamond or are a Gold and are upgraded to an Executive Level room or better or are a Silver or Blue booked into an Executive Level room or better, do you both get access to the Executive Lounge included, or only for one person (i.e. the other person in your room must either go without, or pay the guest charge)?

Assume that the 2 people are not partners (i.e. ineligible for Spouse Stays Free).

Not quite an identical situation but I stayed at 3 x Hilton properties in the US in a twin room with my mother in April, and while there were no Exec lounges at those properties we both got other Diamond benefits like complimentary breakfasts (not that they were anything to write home about). Mum is not an HH member. I'd be most surprised if the other room occupant did not receive comp EL access.

Re: How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

If they're registered to the room then I would say absolutely, without a doubt.

Re: How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

I would expect a room booked for 2 people would have the benefits applied to both, and which is my experience.

I usually book for one person anyway. The only time it was even mentioned was at a property where we were going into the main restaurant for breakfast the lady said "Oh, it says here there's only one guest. Oh, it also says you're diamond. Enjoy your breakfast."

From the HHonors terms and conditions:

•If you are an HHonors guest with Gold status, you and up to one additional registered guest in the same room will be granted complimentary access to the Executive Floor Lounge only if you receive a room upgrade to the Executive Floor or an upgrade to a room type that confers Executive Floor Lounge access benefits.

• If you are an HHonors guest with Diamond status, you and up to one additional registered guest in the same room will always enjoy complimentary access to the Executive Floor Lounge, even if you do not receive a room upgrade to the Executive Floor.

I have had diamond benefits extended to my guests in a second room, breakfast etc., but that's not in the T&Cs.

Access to Executive lounge and breakfast was extended to my non gold member on a recent stay.
