I presume others received a strange email from an address ""cruisepilot" <[email protected]>" with the subject "May Cruise Super Sale from $775!" ?

They claim to be associated with Virgin Blue, and are a Velocity Rewards partner:

Velocity> Earning - Holiday

The email was very amateurish, and so is their website.

Went and checked through the Velocity Rewards Terms & Conditions, and sure enough, their partners can send unfettered amounts of email if they want:

"#

"

Grrr. At least Qantas wraps the adverts into a Qantas branded email. I wonder how many more similar emails I'll receive in the future from my Velocity Membership.
