Emirates and QF platinum / P1

Has any further information been released?

When are they releasing their new Skywards tiers? Will they have a matching P1 level?

How will award redemptions and upgrades work? Will extra award seats still be available on EK flights? Will this depend on having a QF flight number?

I currently have top FF level on both airlines, will we be able to consolidate? (somehow doubt this, but wonder if there will be an obvious winner)

NO NO and NO.

There will be no more information until the ACCC gives an interim authorisation, at the moment all they have is a draft report, which means QF and EK are extremely limited in how they can talk.

For Skywards tiers - When / if Emirates decides to release them
For redemptions/ awards - I would expect the same buckets (ie no additional seats)(if indeed upgrades are allowed - they aren't on other QF codeshares or indeed other oneworld members)... Flight numbers unknown.
For consolidation - I highly doubt it

The ACCC has made a lot of the fine points very much seat of your pants type to the consumer.

When does it all get fully signed and delivered.

From reading some info it is only going to be approved for a few years then has to be reapproved.

Five years when they wanted ten - other than that, the framework for most of what they were looking for has been given interim approval.
