Emirates Card / Skywards

Does the Skywards Account need to be under the Main Credit Card Account holders name?

Or can I use someone elses?

IF I have to use the main account holder's name, can they upgrade a ticket for someone else?

e.g Mum upgrading for son.

Hmm cant seem to edit my post. But i found the answer! Should be able to.

Anyway new question, as the Citi Emirates card have a max point earning of 150k/PA. If I cancel the card and re-apply for the card few months down the track, will I be able to start earning points again?
