Hi,
Travelling economy Saver SYD -DXB in late May 2011 on the undesirable long route that goes via BKK in B777. Can't upgrade as there are no seats on offer. Couple of questions for seasoned Skywarders:
1. It is likely that upgrade seats might become available closer to the travel date, or is the gate closed for that possibility?
2. Is it possible to pay more cash and change from lowly Saver fares to Flex? This would entitle us to swap onto the later A380 flight the same evening, which is direct and apparently a better experience for economy travel.
Completely unrelated and not really important ... but while I am here, is there any airline that could fly me from any of Moscow, Helsinki or Warsaw to London, and earn Skywards points? Doesn't seem to be
