Other than the current Citi Bank Emirates Skywards credit card, does anyone know of other credit cards or arrangements in either Australia or New Zealand that will earn Emirates Skyward miles?

if you have spg, you can flick them across to emirates as well

SPG?

Currently run a BNZ (NZ) Platinum Visa that has returned me not a lot of real value in rewards to Fly Buys .

I want an AU credit card + ideally to credit spend onto Skywards, as currently chase Skywards - as I really only fly EK bookings - but "may" if I get my head around QFF swing towards QF if the EK partnership continues.

Some back of the envelopes data points

I am not going into the Qs of which airlines you would prefer, nor do I canvas the relative availability of the award seats.

Seems QF and EK got their pts aligned pretty well.

Starwood preferred guest, transfer in enough for 20000 SPG points, they give you a 5K bonus across to many airlines.

So effectively the SPG card is an AMEX card? Well that is what I have come up with searching for it.

Its not a card, you use your card to transfer to starwood where you can also add to the points by staying etc then when you transfer those points out of starwood they give a 5K bonus for every 20K

mushez, if you are primarily transacting in $NZD I would just get an Amex card issued in NZ to save on foreign currency comm fees. Otherwise the Amex issued cards in Australia are good enough for all your $AUD purchases to earn Emirate Skyward Miles.

Apart from earning points from your credit card spend, you can earn points from the hotel loyalty program such as SPG. Take a look from the SPG website. So if your next hotel stay is in one of the Sheraton, W Hotels etc (SPG Group), you can earn SPG points in which you can choose to flick across to Skyward.
