English words of Foreign Origin

"A feeling of enjoyment that comes from seeing or hearing about the troubles of other people."

I thought just about all English words were of foreign origin at some point.

I think that's actually a German word...

At school we were taught that this was one of the few words that had no equivalent in the a English language...along with cuisine
