Haven't flown J to Perth and back for a couple of months but noticed a couple of enhancements today and not sure if they are permanent. New downscale amenities pack with no "Grown" hand cream etc in the packs (my wife loves the products and that is why I always took the pack) . Also normally bottled water stowed in every seat on the new A330's but not today, not a bottle to be seen. Also there was no champagne offered or seen prior to departure. Hope this is not a sign of things to come!

Did you ask about any of the items :?:

No I didn't. Thought I would wait and see whether it will be the same tomorrow on the flight to Melbourne.

Was the amenity pack a drawstring bag made of a synthetic like material with a few amenities inside?

If so, that would mimic the Premium Economy amenity kits. A while ago, some people were getting these when, reportedly, there was a bit of a shortage of amenity kits.

Even if Champagne was not offered prior to departure, surely it must be available later in the flight?

Anyway, as you say, could be just an isolated incident.

I flew to Perth today in J and had pre departure champagne, bottles of water and full amenity kits. The cabin crew even pointed out "there's nice cream in there".

It was the drawstring bag so will see what I get tomorrow. Didn't ask for champagne as I had meetings when I arrived and it was still only 10am when landing.

It sounds like you took the first flight out? They don't usually offer champagne on the tray for the 6am flight but it's available if requested. I got the same drawstring kit last month due to a "shortage" of supply, you can submit feedback but all you'll get is a apologetic email in about 3 weeks.

I flew J SYD PER yesterday. Champagne on departure, amenity kit with Grown products and bottled water in the seats were all there as normal.

The most unusual thing was that J was 100% full.

We're burning through our points.
However sometimes you have to ask for things, some FAs "forget".

Re: Enhancement?[Coast to Coast fail-no PD Bubbles, bottled water, downgraded Amenitie

Perth to Melbourne today and all the missing enhancements from yesterday were provided. I think this is more a case of inconsistent delivery that others have complained about previously. That said, great flight, crew and service on today's flight.
