My dealer* was on the phone again yesterday. tldr 28000 points @ 44.6 points per dollar, plus some wine

Circe Pinot Noir 7000 bonus points, $199.
Allegiance premium collection 20000 bonus points $450
And because I spent so much a free case of Domaine Des feraud Provence Rose.

No idea how to find the space for 18 more bottles of wine.

So I placed an order last week, which was collected this afternoon from the PO.

I only got around to opening it just now and my case of 6 only had 5 bottles in it :mad::rolleyes:

Will be calling in the morning to see what they want to offer as a solution

Too funny Tommy - what was missing?

Already at 250%+ of our cellar's capacity but couldn't help but take up that pinot offer. 16k pts for 4x $100+ pinots is indeed a steal.

Two mighty fine points offers available.

Pinot fans rejoice.

12000 points for 2 is cheap
But 16000 points for 4 with either of the $50 coupons is really cheap.

Mike Bennie's tasting note on this makes it sound like a Shiraz lovers type of Pinot. Stewed fruit and oak. Not what I'm after in Pinot, no matter how much of a bargain. Probably explains why they're not moving a wine that is probably overpriced in the first place.

Yes, he gave it 92pts - hasn't been that low since 2011, with 2012-2015 receiving 94-96pts by the Winefront guys

At that price, probably worth a punt - you could always return it, if you can contact them

Gee I've had some bad luck with wine deliveries lately; after the Smashvino debacle now AusPost has lost my wine delivery from Qantas.

Took me forever to get through to Qantas (well 20m on hold) but the helpful representative shipped out replacement bottles immediately. Except somehow she got both the wine and number of bottles wrong!

After spending another 25m on hold just to get through they were going to create two orders to replace the missing bottles but I could see that causing more problems than it solved so I just cancelled.

Would be lovely to order a product and receive it for a change without having to deal with vendors.

I'm glad I'm not alone then. Ordered 4 bottles of the Craggy Range Pinot but only a single bottle turned up. Sadly this isn't the first time this had happened either.

Ordered Tuesday early afternoon and arrived before 9am on Wednesday morning. All four bottles!

I placed an order Tuesday around noon and received the wine today before noon - 3 days to regional Tas is impressive (Aus post)

Mixed Qantas business and lounge case of 12 on “flash sale” down to $155. Partnered with the $50 May voucher not a bad deal IMO - case ordered.

Thanks for the reminder on the voucher Lemon_Party - I now have my quaffers sorted. I went for a case a the Winter Warmers Reds and Mrs Rugby got us a case of the Big Red Mixed Dozen.

Anyone had trouble contacting Qantas epiQure/Wine in the past month or so?

After no response from three emails and a phone call, I went on live chat, then received an email to which I replied, but again still no return answer for two weeks :(

I sent an email last week about a particularly bad bottle from the Easter reds, but haven't even had an acknowledgement.

Might try calling or using the online chat some time this week.
