I made a change to my QF domestic flight over the phone on Monday morning. I usually get the email eticket on the same day.

It has been 3 days and still no sign of the eticket, therefore I cannot confirm my upgrade online.

I called qantas and they said there is a huge que of tickets waiting to be actioned by the ticketing office.

What else can i do??

thanks

Chucksta

As QF by phone to apply for the upgrade (if thats what you want to do)
I have done that at nil cost ($ or points)

I made a name change to a ticket to Honolulu a few days ago and at the time was told it will probably take a couple of weeks to receive a confirmation email and show up in 'my bookings'. I was also told they are being actioned more by date of travel rather than when the request was received.

Last week I made a date change for Melbourne-Cairns from February to June and was advised that the e-ticket receipt is in a queue and will be issued closer to date of travel...whilst the change has been reflected in "my bookings' I still have no receipt...But not hastled as not eligible for an upgrade so when the receipt arrives it arrives !!!!

If you use checkmytrip.com and see an ETicket number at the top then you know that the ticket has issued.

I did that when i made the date change. The chap on the phone said he will take care of the upgrade.

It still says economy (s) class and I can't manually upgrade online because no eticket receipt sent yet.

It is just not good enough. In the past I have always received E-tickets within 24 hours.

I think Qantas must be having a heap of problems with their email servers ..

I booked a paid flightto LAX return .. took nearly a week to get issued and get the email .. when I changed dates it never got a reconfirm email ..

Also booked 2 awards flight on AA .. never got an email confirmation on either of the original bookings - only on one of them *after* I made a change .. still waiting for the other ..

My Bookings always showed the flights & changes immediately however .. and checkmytrip.com (great website!) is showing e-ticket numbers and confirmations for all of them however - so hopefully its ok !!!

The Qantas guy on the phone said they have 3 different servers for sending out emails .. one for domestic .. international & awards respectively or something like that ..
