Etihad Airways and Virgin Australia Increase Economy Baggage Allowance by up to 30 per cent | Virgin Australia

Etihad Airways and Virgin Australia today increased the complimentary baggage allowance for Economy class guests to 30 kilograms, providing travellers with an extra seven kilos of luggage on flights from Australia to Abu Dhabi and beyond.*

Members of the Etihad Guest program and Virgin Australia’s Velocity program will also be able to take advantage of additional allowances. For example, an Etihad Guest Elite or Velocity Platinum member traveling in Economy will now be able to check-in as much as 50 kilos of baggage on a complimentary basis.

The new allowance is entirely complimentary and will be effective for travel from 6 November 2012.
It seems that most airlines are 30kg+ in economy these days.

Can't see the reference anywhere on velocityrewards.com.au though... Just that Silver gets an extra 10kg, Gold an extra 15kg, and Platinum an extra 20kg.
