Hi AFFers,

I currently have a stash of Etihad Guest miles from a few J trips I made last year. Now I have need to travel to SE asia, specifically KL or Sin from Sydney later this year.

As far as I know, Etihad only fly to AUH from SYD but I know that they have a lot of partner airlines. Can anyone here give me some advice on what my best options are for redeeming my EY guest miles with one of their partners that fly to KL or SIN? What is the process, do you need to ring their service centre, or can it be done online? Which partners offer the best usage of the EY miles? Thanks.

You may be able to book SYD-BNE-SIN with the first leg on VA and the second on EY...

Thanks Zainman. I just saw that option but geez EY redemption rates are high. The mileage calculator here: Mileage calculator reckons it's gonna be 288,000 points return to SIN in J.

If I'd known this I would've elected to earn the miles from my Europe trip on EY in AA advantage.

Probably because EY doesn't fly SYD-SIN so the calculator is assuming you will fly SYD-AUH-SIN-AUH-SYD.

When you put BNE-SIN-BNE in J it shows 98505. Ring the call centre and they will be able to help you out.
