Neither offer status-based pricing IME. The only perk I always get with Hertz is random class upgrades and that's dependent on the location. I usually book a compact SUV size or intermediate and end up in a Subaru wagon or Kluger type. With Europcar, I've been given a Sportage up to a BMW 330 and everything in between. I've not had any issues with either of them when it comes to returning the vehicle. I'd like to think that status plays a part in that.

Shop the specials/offers. I have a one day rental with Europcar tomorrow and an EV is $105. Hertz wanted $155. Hertz don't participate in Shopback/Cashback.

I’ve opted in for 5 stars with Hertz on 27th April but no news from Hertz nor Virgin on this status match yet. Any idea how I can chase this up ?
