So I'm not as eloquent as some here, nor the time but thought I'd give this a shot..

All constructive criticism welcome.

So for a holiday to Toronto to see the wife's extended relos I said if I can't go J I'd rather not go.. ;)

Having 5 pax including the in-laws didn't help matters. Our son is 2.5yo which was going to be a challenge.

In the end I used a LOT of KF miles for SYD to SIN to TPE to YYZ and the same for the return. Thinking we'd break up the trip and spend few nights in Singapore to really break up the trip.

The special flight was the SIN to TPE flight aboard the Hello Kitty plane.

So without further delay here are some pics.

More to come...

I'd seen the toilet paper was also kitty branded but this wasn't the case.

There were kitty branded hand wash, lotion etc in the bathroom.

Already love this report! When booking, what indicated it was the Hello Kitty flight on the booking? Ive had friends on this plane and they had lots of fun with the theme.

I booked all this in July '18 so the full 35x days ago etc to ensure we got in!
memory is a little hazy now, of which came first the route or the Kitty plane.
think it sorta both. SQ also fly to TPE and that would have been 10k KF mikes/person cheaper, yet i still went for the EVA option. So I must have known.

They have a dedicated site here, Hello Kitty Jet Travels with You! | Home and you can see which routes are getting the special aircrafts. some change from time to time, some stay the same from what I've noticed.

EVA Air as a whole was excellent. service/staff always willing to help & please.
Their food looked great but taste/flavour was a little lacking we felt. I've only done J on SQ and now EVA.

Here is the menu for those interested..
We'll be doing the same on the return trip. Let me know if someone has any questions :)

My friend recently took pics and videos of the Eva Air HK safety demo video.... kind of ridiculous if you ask me.
Not sure who/what their marketing is targeting? Yet another example of the slow but sure infantilization of our species....

Obviously I am not the target demo; I didn't like Japanese cutesy pewtsy 30 years ago - I still don't like it now! JAL used to have Disney themed aircraft.... but at least Disney is a more "mature" brand if you ask me (still ridiculous)

What would the QF equivalent be? A Wiggles themed aircraft? I don't think we have to think too hard about how well that would fly (no pun intended!)
