My usual Saturday night involves taking the last flight from BNE-SYD. In summer, thats 1915 making it a dinner service, but now winter has come along, it's now 2015 (with the cancellation of the 1915 service). Obviously still arrives in SYD at the same time due to daylight savings.

Now usually, the service offered is a hot bread item. Nothing special... but does the job. Last night, the only offering on the service was a 60g bag of chip mix (a Carmens product from memory).

Does this seem to be the regular "supper" service these days, or was it just an unlucky long weekend experience? What are those on the MEL-SYD shuttles getting right now in the evenings?

Bit of a pain for me, my first leg leaves at about 1700 with a few hours in the QP in BNE (and of course, no hot items on weekends!). I might have to get used to having dinner at 11:30 on Saturday nights at home!

I used to get the 8.30 SYD-BNE on Fridays a lot and all I got was salsa and crakers. There was a thread recently where a crew member detailed exactly what was provided for each flight

I've been totally gobsmacked that QF are now offering hot dinners on the 1705 CNS to BNE service, after 20 odd years of crackers and cheese!!

Took that flight Friday and I found the dinner a pleasant surprise. Half the plane were connecting to Perth!

I got this on the 20:05 SYD-BNE flight last Sunday.

Also got a cookie on a 9:00am SYD-MEL flight yesterday. Was hoping for breakfast but not to be.

I don't know about BNE but I have seen hot food items on weekends in SYD and MEL.

In MEL business lounge yesterday (Sunday) had some sort of beef and rice, fish fingers, pies (I think) and hot potato and leek soup. Hadn't eaten since lunch and that was dinner as I crashed when I got home.

My 1000 flight on Saturday I received a tasty muffin, and my 1905 flight last night I received a hot pasta with pesto sauce, also quite delicious.

My late night (2045) SYD-ADL flight seems to rotate between the chips/cracker packet, salsa and chips, a savory muffin, a sweet muffin, and sweet biscuits. Always 2 options one sweet one savory that rotate, i.e. sweet muffin or salsa then next week savory muffin or sweet biscuits. I like the savory muffins most.
