Coming up to 3 years since I've flown SQ. I have lost my status (sniff :() and my points will soon expire. I am talking only 28,000 points, but given the efforts we all make to scramble for every meagre Epiqure point, EDR point, Amex pt etc I am loathe to just let them disappear into the ether.

Can I transfer them to say my VA membership?

I may need to do a quick dash to Europe in a month or two but cannot justify buying a business class ticket...well certainly not on SQ anyway. What would an upgrade from Y cost?

you can pay to extend them by 6 months, or if that won't work just cop the loss and transfer them to VA.

I haven't been able to make use of them in 3 years. 6 months would just be extending the pain. How do I transfer them to my VA? Do they simply end up in my Velocity account?

Thanks for the link Eggs. That is pretty clear explanation. Now that opens up a whole lot of other questions. ;)

Do VA ever do any offers for this sort of points transfer such as the 15% bonus on CC and debit card points transfer?

Have never seen a 15% bonus on VA/KF transfers or vice versa.
Also; I have never thought about sending points the "other way", as you need to do :(! SQ is my carrier

Just asking Duffa. I will be transferring KF to VA Velocity to preserve points, not other way around. SQ would definitely be my carrier of choice if I could still afford it. Up until 2-3 years ago I could book redemption euro J return just 30-40 days out at 125,000 - 160,000 pts. After that time availability short term redemption simply dried up overnight.

I presume the points get a new life when they hit your VA account?
I would hope that they do.

Unlike other programs, where they carry their expiry with them.....

That would be nice but couldn't see it happening.

There was a recent bonus offer for Amex MR points transferred to Velocity and also a discount on Velocity points required for some economy awards?
