Extra 5 MR points per $1 at Hilton Hotels

Applies to Australia, Maldives, Japan and China from a quick look at the list...

Hopefully they extend it into next year

Hmmm I wonder if those that are on the plus2 bonus would get this as well

1.5 base points
2 bonus points
5 hilton bonus points

9.5 MR per $1 spent... Makes the nights free basically as I value 1MR at 10cents (roughly)

This promo is open to all but I by chance happened to see it when logging out of my MR account. There was a small advert for it..

Yeah, I saw that but have no more planned Hilton stays this year - other than that, none over $350 anyway.

Hey guys,

I just noticed this offer.

As it turns out, I'm about to book 8 nights at one of the participating hotels for mid Jan.

I'm not sure that I understand the offer tho. It says you earn on money spent at the participating hotels. Does that mean on things like room service, or are they talking about the actual room rate?

In addition, when you book a hotel, I've often found that the won't actually take the money until you check in (or a day before). In that case I'd miss out too.

Also, what if you booked thru a 3rd party provider, like Expedia. How would AMEX know to credit you the bonus points?

Lots of questions :)...any Answers....

Cheers,

Most of the questions are answered by reading the terms and conditions of the offer. Unlikely to get much for a stay in January though....

Hm, I don't seem to have gotten those bonus points for my Hilton stay during AFF#3.
