Last year, Qantas amended its baggage policy in line with the roll out of Faster, Smarter Check-in. The new system meant significant discounts for additional pieces on the pre-purchase of excess baggage. Customers can pre-purchase additional pieces of baggage for domestic travel for $20 per item.
Having worked with our customers and our music industry partners since the introduction of this new system, Qantas has further increased its support for Australian musicians. From 1 March 2012, eligible musicians travelling on Qantas domestic services will be entitled to request in advance an additional baggage allowance of one additional piece.
The new allowance will allow eligible musicians to tour more easily and cost-effectively on Qantas and QantasLink flights to over 60 destinations* within Australia.
