Do any of the one world airlines offer extra baggage allowance to Qantas FFers?

I usually travel on Qantas overseas, a big reason is because of the extra baggage allowance you get as a frequent flyer even if flying Y, because a lot of my travel is for trade shows etc, so I take posters and display/sample stock as luggage. I perhaps mistakenly thought that it was the same with the one world partners, so had a big prob the other day when checking in my bags from tokyo to shanghai on JAL, as I had 33kgs but their weight was 20kgs (40kgs for their FFers).

As I am doing a big trip in october and doing a RTW fare, going to the US and to Europe, are there any airlines I should try to go use in preference to others in terms of baggage allowance, as I will most likely be travelling with around 30-35kgs (in Y).

Unlike Star Alliance Gold, in OneWorld you don’t get priority/extra luggage allowance on other partner members of the alliance. I’m not sure of any partners that would give you priority/extra luggage allowance, but if there were, I’d guess it might be AA/BA. Though I couldn’t find anything.

I believe most initeries involving a US leg will allow 2pcs (rather than the 20/23kg you get usually). On QF that will be an extra piece, but you wont get that with other carriers.

There are some exclusions to this, but essentially a RTW that includes US legs (ie. SYD-LAX, MEL-LAX, BNE-LAX etc) should allow you 2x23kg for all flights.
