Extra luggage allowance transfer from QF to BA?

My lucky daughter is about to head off to study in the Netherlands for a semester.
Her ticket (same reloc) is on QF to LHR then BA to AMS. She was gifted Qantas Club membership to get her extra baggage allowance (she is taking 2 bags). I am thinking this benefit may only apply as far as LHR??

She can't prebook extra luggage on the QF site as it says there is a partner airline involved.
Logging into the BA site it doesn't give extra luggage as an option (although I can calculate elsewhere it will cost 75 pounds).

Or will her luggage be checked through to AMS from Australia and she might not even see an issue?

And while I am asking questions of you kind people, will her Qantas Club membership get her into any BA lounges in LHR please?

Many thanks!

First of all the luggage will be checked through to AMS so she won't see it in LHR at all.

Strictly speaking the Qantas Club extra baggage only applies on Qantas services and does not apply on BA. BA does not recognise Qantas Club, so no lounges (they used to, many years ago, but not now). Yes to Qantas Lounge at LHR when coming home (assuming QF metal)

The Qantas allowance applies to the whole ticket (excluding extra allowances for status/membership), which is 30Kg with no piece limit. If the total is under that, no problem. If it's over, but within the Qantas Club allowance (42Kg), it's likely she won't be charged, but there's no guarantee.
Coming home is a different story, definitely no extra allowance, it will be the base ticket allowance of 30Kg.

She will see it on her booking page as it will state the allowance for each leg. I had the same when I flew back to the UK in December. Extra PC baggage to LHR then only 23kg to ABZ. I was under though so it ended up not being an issue. It would def be trickier on the way back when its BA staff doing the check in.
She will be able to access the Qantas lounge at LHR on the way home only.
