Hi

Looking to book a trip to Europe , looking to go over on EY as I need to stop in AUH and back on QR so it’s into BNE, like to land home rather than into Mel / Syd etc

As both are VA partners , is it possible to book a virgin ticket but use EY one way and QR the other but be on the same virgin return ticket so as I don’t pay 2x one way levy

Virgin don’t have a multi city search it seems for international

Thanks

Have to phone VA up to make a phone booking.
Or a TA, but have to then make sure, that you enter your VFF # into the booking, and also prior to each trip, if its a VFF rev fare to earn VFF points and VFF SC.

Let us know of the result, some who fly VFF int might find the result useful.
For me, I am only into NZ and back tho, and do it with 2 one ways.

That’s not possible I’m afraid. VA stopped displaying its code on EY flight since QR became a partner. It’s no longer possible to pay cash to fly EY via AUH using a VA ticket stock, one way or round trip.

Thanks for the reply , save me a phone call. Would it work with Singapore ? Our with qr back with Singapore ?
Thanks
I think the fare rules specifically talk about the carrier involved e.g. travel must be on SQ OR travel must be on QR...so I doubt the two fares could be combined on a single ticket...but happy to be proved wrong on that one.

This would be possible if booking with Velocity points. Not if buying a cash fare.

I have specifically asked about booking a Velocity award mixing partners (SQ/EY or SQ/QR) and have been told no.
This is correct, it's never been possible to mix airlines on the same ticket with the one exception being a VA operated flight combined with a partner.

Some years ago, I was able to book a Velocity reward with VA, HX and HU all on one ticket. Perhaps that was because these airlines were all in the points table requiring the lowest amount of points?

In any case, if redeeming points you could just book 2x one-way tickets - SQ out and QR back (for example).

Even airlines on the same award chart I've never been able to book them all on one ticket. Perhaps HX and HU were an exception because they were both HNA group airlines, regardless it's a moot point given HNA group redemptions don't seem to be coming back anytime soon.
