I was just wondering if anybody here has successfully booked an EY reward flight with their Velocity points in the past week or so?

I had been hoping to book EY473 to SIN one last time before they start flying direct to AUH.

However, EY473 no longer comes up as an option for me when searching for reward flights on the VA website. The VA codeshare is still listed but it's "Sold Out" in the "Economy Reward" column. I've tried multiple dates.

I found this funny considering that rewards on EY473 are available on pretty much any date on the EY website (Reward Flights).

I rang the Gold hotline but was told it's not available and they asked if I wanted to book an award on SQ instead.

So out of curiosity I went searching for other EY reward flights to AUH and to Europe but I couldn't find any availability for those either.

Has anybody else noticed this? Might I have more luck if I tried calling the Gold hotline during the day? Assuming this is a technical issue would I maybe get through to somebody locally who may have more ways available to them to get around this issue?

I have and can't say I'm happy about it. The whole point of accumulating my points was to fly on Etihad, preferably in First, and preferably in one or both of their newly fitted out aircraft. What is the point of advertising that First Class rewards are available from 182,500 points + taxes when they are so limited as to almost not exist?

What dates are you looking at ?

There are a number of threads on AFF where members have been able to call and get seats on EY when the VA codeshare is showing N/A online

You need to call to get a fist class seat, however they are very limited... for example the 787 only has 8 seats in F
