Mrs Ansett and I are partaking of a day out at the expense of QF flying Mel Syd on JQ36 and returning same day on JQ35 for a princely sum of $215.00 based on JQ matching Tigers pricing. So if anyone wants to join feel free  BUT we have first request at Spa lol.

Seriously need some advise as we will check in online and no baggage do we have to book in at the Counter? or do we go straight through customs to the lounge at around 5 am :) when it opens?

For the return trip we will have checked in online and no baggage so can we confirn in the lounge or do we need to go the a transfer desk?

Thanking you in advance for your kind assistance and clarification

Mr and Mrs Ansett

PS Tried to upgrade to get points etc but alas to no avail :) Was worth a try ;lol

Difficult.

Jq at Mel are open early but may or may not issue you with both bps. Depends on whether their Facebook friends say yes or no...

At syd regardless you should exit and re enter the airport to keep immigration happy.

Find the thread for the recent double lounge run and that will explain how we did it.

You should be glad you didn't get an upgrade as it would have been a waste. StarClass on the domestic sector is essentially Y with a bigger seat.

Psst, should be $100 round trip or thereabouts!

I assume/hope Ansett means $215 for two passengers

$119.90 * 0.9 = $107.91
x 2 pax
= $215.82

Absolutely price is for both passengers and the upgrade was upgrade to a bundle to earn points and status credit but JQ wouldnt wear it atall. I agree would not upgrade to Star class dont see the value.

So will we have to exit Sydney INternational then go back in again or can we stay air side?

Definitely clear customs. As per an above post on the Easter run, some of us got away with it, others did not and got a run in with the customs people in MEL upon their return :D

dewbies

As for the sugestion to move I agree but have no idea how to do that sorry

Cheers all

I could have been persuaded, but alas a quick check of my diary reveals that I'm seeing Pam Ann that night in Sydney :)
