So to the last of our Fairmont stays in the Rockies. We spent 2 nights at Jasper. This was the cheapest and had the largest room. Also a bath!
This is a spread out place with lots of cabins. You can be a long way from the lobby and restaurants. We however booked a lake view room in the original wing so we were where the action was.The only drawback was we got valet parking the first night and the next morning it took 45 minutes to retrieve it.Fortunately it was complimentary and with the service I felt no obligation to tip.The second night I self parked.
So to the room-
.
.
We had perfect weather and the view was great-
.
.
.
The room had a large but simple balcony with no privacy-
.
After checking in we felt like a drink. Now who could go past a beer called Rutting Elk.
.
So this was better value than the other Fairmonts but still not an outstanding stay.
Of the 3 Fairmonts the only one I would recommend(and only because of the spectacular view at sunrise) is the Chateau Lake Louise.
If you are a golf tragic and have the time the golf course at the Fairmont Jasper is rated the number 1 resort course in Canada and that at Banff number 3.
