The second of our Fairmont stays was at Lake Louise. Here we just paid for a Lake View room. The extra for a Gold floor Lake view room was extortionate. We were paying nearly $600 a night for this.
The first difference from Banff was the proactive help at checkin. We could not get into Lake Louise's best restaurant. So to avoid disappointment at Jasper our agent rang Jasper and booked the restaurant there for the next night.Would have been good of the Gold level staff at Banff to have thought of that.
The room was larger than Banff though not by that much-
.
.
We did at least have a bath.
Though the reason to stay here is the view-
.
.
Even better is to wake at sunrise-
.
.
These were all taken out of our window.
So here I do recommend that if you are going to stay in Lake Louise the Fairmont is the place to stay but you do need to book a Lake view room.
