Family transfer error

Hi all. First time posting. Regarding family transfers, I had a friend transfer me points and he mixed up the last 2 digits of my FF number. Would the points bounce back to him? Or are they gone??? Any help appreciated. Cheers. Richard.

I suggest your friend contacts Qantas ASAP.

If I remember correctly, when transferring points you need to enter both the recipients Qantas frequent flyer number and theirb surname.

Remember family transfer is just that... this may cause trouble for your.. cousin.

He did that. But the last 2 digits were mixed up. Can’t call til tomorrow but definitely will.

If the FF# and surname entered don't match, then the transfer should not have gone through. Suggest you ask your cousin if the points actually left their account.

The error is pretty prominent when you get the number/surname combination wrong. This sounds suspicious to me...
