Limited to 25 participants, the Farewell to Rockford tour is the last April wine tour that Ruby and I will be organizing. We may organize mini tours in the future but only time will tell.
This tour is on Sunday 5th April and the details are as follows:
Morning Tour.
Departing from the Adelaide Convention Centre on North Terrace at 08:30, we will travel by luxury 50 seater coach** to ROCKFORD WINES for a private premium tasting in the Barrel Room. The tasting commences at 10:00am, the experience will take about 2.0 hours with time allowed to make a purchase.
Lunch and Afternoon.
At about 12:30 we shall leave Rockford for the BAROSSA VALLEY CHOCOLATE COMPANY where we will experience chocolate and wine pairings after a sit down lunch.
Before we depart you may want to purchase a home made gelato or a coffee and sit and relax on the stunning deck overlooking the water.
Time permitting, we will return via MENGLERS HILL where you will get one of the best views of the Barossa. Hopefully the sky will be clear as Menglers Hill offers a brilliant photo opportunity.
Cost and Ticketing.
Tickets are available for purchase right now.
All inclusive cost for this event is $115.00 however the booking site may charge you a fee beyond my control, for the service they provide.

Please note that once purchased tickets are NON REFUNDABLE unless somebody wants to take your place. For this reason if you want to attend but find the event has sold out, please indicate that you would like to be wait listed.

Return to Adelaide.
Departing the Barossa around 3:30pm should see us arrive at the airport by 5:00pm should anybody wish to leave the tour there.
From the airport we will go to the Hilton and if required we will also return to the pick up spot.
One More Thing.
Those that have previously been on one of these tours know that we try and have some fun along the way, ask questions and give away wine and prizes.
As this is our last tour, I’m handing over the questions to AFF members. Whether you are coming on this tour or not, I’m inviting you to PM me a question or two (and the answer) to be asked on the tour.
As a bonus, if I consider your question to be the best one submitted AND you attend the tour, I’ll give you a bottle of wine.
