Feb 2013 Virgin Lounge Function MEL

Hi All,

As some of you may remember I moved from OOL to MEL in February and have never looked back. Virgin was very lovely and held a small function so I could meet some of the Melbourne AFF locals. It was suggested a similar event could be held in a years time.

So here's my proposal:

22nd of February to line up with other social functions in BNE on the 23rd
15th of Feb, a year to date from the previous function.

Both dates are on a Friday evening, probably 6:30-7pm onwards. The idea being Melbourne locals can finish work and kick off their weekend with drinks.

Im very weary that Friday is a busy time for the lounge staff and as always, we are their guests. But I'm holding a poll, which date would be preferable for AFF'ers?

I am starting my 'non AFF ethos' trip the next day. Catching the ferry to Tassie and then driving a car of all things.

Hi All,

After speaking with the Melbourne lounge, they've said they would love to host us all again, however with the transition to Sabre, and some minor lounge maintenance required over the next month, it's going to be a bit difficult to host a function.

This isn't a no as such, just "not now". So we are going to reassess in a month, perhaps a little longer.

Geeze Liam, my eyes are getting sore watching this space. Lisa and I are going to do a OOL-MEL-SYD reward so any ideas in case we can incorporate it?
