Has anyone ever got fee free for an unused card? I have 2 amex cards, RM and QFF, I mainly (99%) use the RM. I wanted to cancel the QFF and just have 1, but they said if I do so I cannot transfer the credit limit to the RM card. I'd only use the QFF for Qantas bonuses, and only spend ~15k/yr. I'll need to put 6k on my cards for uni fees next mth so I need the limit on both cards combined.

You're lucky to be able to pay with AMEX, I could only pay mine on VISA. Having done so, I've now paid the last of my fees and have a degree and no debt

Just transfer limit your QFF card to your RM first and then cancel the QFF. I did that and they allow me to transfer the limit leaving minimum of 1000 dollars limit.
