Apologies if this appears elsewhere or has been answered many times over already.

I was reading another post that referred to a soft landing, which is what I understand to be when you don't earn enough SC to maintain current level and drop back one level. So if I am gold and don't get enough SC I will only drop back to Silver, not all the way to Bronze???

Thanks

Hi sbc269,

Must admit, I thought this was a "published process" but couldn't find anything in the T&Cs.

Here's an ABT article confirming the very same!

Regards,

BD

And now you're hoping for a DSC offer so you can regain your status in the near future.

Must admit, I thought this was a "published process" but couldn't find anything in the T&Cs.

It is an unpublished beneift with Qantas. So could stop or be altered at anytime. It is a published benefit with Virgin, at the very least as long as Virgin do it I'm sure Qantas will continue it.

There are a couple of other things that can also happen when you don't meet the status level. You can be comped another year at the level you are at. Or they have been known to send a letter or email asking for your future travel plans, if you have significant future travel plans they might comp you.

Thanks for the confirmation, like everyone else I would love to be gifted the DSC offer. Least I can rest a little easier now.

Cheers all.
